In COM210, we use a text message system called Remind, which is a free text message reminder service available to educators. We use it to send you short messages when you have an assignment due. All students can sign up for this optional service.
How it works
1-2 times a week, you will receive a text message on your phone with a reminder about assignments’ due dates. The message will usually include a direct link to the assignment page on the course blog.
Your information will not be shared with anyone through Remind (not even your instructors). However, any text and data charges associated with your phone service provider will still apply.

After sending your initial text you will be asked to send a message to confirm your name. Once you have done so, you will begin to receive messages as part of the text reminder pool.
You can sign up at any time during the semester. You are also able to opt out at any time for any reason without penalty. You also have the option to receive messages as emails rather than text messages.
Please note that you should still check the emails you receive from your instructors for more information about assignments and grading.
